There is still work to be done; both at home and abroad. Who will step up? Though-out history there was always a group of young people championing a cause and bringing a much needed lens to global issues. while I was in high school I saw Tsunami and Hurricane ravage places on the planet. Not long after, volcanoes and earthquakes shake the earth and destroyed people's lives, leaving them on the brink of despair and survival.
Within the aftermath I watched how a country and the world responded. I also watched how my classmates at northeastern, most still in their late teens or very early 20s. Maybe it was my study of the language or the love of the culture that kept me enthralled with what a nation worlds away began to endure through one of the worst nuclear accidents we have seen. So many thousands without homes, power, or a sense of a direction. Still, I hope to travel and teach a way to rise from this current situation. Through the various programs or by my own merit at NEU, I will find a way.
Twas another year for friends to come an go, so I hear it is the standard of life's flow. I do know, there are men who stood among me as friends, teachers, and brothers. Thank you all for the support and understanding in my last years. One more to go, and then we will find out if this world is ready.
In lighter news, I did well in my first year, averaging a 3.3, I will get As only next year. I did walk my dogs everyday during the year, which was hard in the rain or snow. Kumiko (obaasan), Rocky (Sokusu), Yellow bird (Kiiro 黄色 Tori) and Bella my moms dog, feeding them all, playing with them all, and walking them all was always fun. Now my mom instead of bringing Rocky to an appointment went to foxwoods and he mated with YellowBird and I JUST found out Bella. Yellow bird gave birth to a litter of 3 puppies on the 1st of June, and Bella is due in a several weeks...What am I going to do with 10 doggies! Two puppies are bought from this litter so there is possibly 1 more left.
My dad is on vacation for my cousins' weddings, and my mom will join him at end of the month, I will have to run the stable solo, I miss the old days when my parents would leave and I would have the house to share on my own. Going to own the basement, then the dining room and kitchen and living room, them my room and the bathrooms.
The itinerary: Las Vegas, LA/SF/SD, Japan, Seoul,HK, Amsterdam and back home.
